Commitment to Sustainable Tourism:

Since the beginning Show Me The Whales has been partnering with Francisco Detrell and his company Expediciones de Turismo Ecologico y Adventura based in Ensenada, Baja California with all of our Whale Watching adventures in Mexico. Francisco Detrell has spent the last 25 plus years teaching, training, advising, and consulting everyone from university students to government officials on the importance of sustainable tourism practices in Baja California, Mexico.

Due to Francisco’s commitment and influence, Show Me The Whales makes every effort to ensure the money we spend traveling and adventuring in Baja California, Mexico, remain in the locales we visit. t has been important to us to continue to establish long-standing friendships with local families and positive relationships with the government officials we conduct business with.In return, our hope is that these same families and officials continue to improve their services as well as the quality of life for themselves and their community. Lastly, the Mexican Government has established a legislative protection for many of the locations we visit.  It is extremely important that we support their efforts to work cooperatively with the local citizens to protect the flora, fauna, land and water that make up the unique environment of Baja California, Mexico.
